Is there another way I can get the serial # of my device in order to request the radio code from Honda?īut these instructions don't make sense to me for a touchscreen unit, which requires the device to be on to access radio preset buttons that are displayed on the touchscreen. Ignore the U and L and record all 8 digitsīut these instructions don't make sense to me for a touchscreen unit, which requires the device to be on to access radio preset buttons that are displayed on the touchscreen. And L with the last 4 digits of the serial number (L0055 for example.).The display toggles between two screens: U with the first 4 digits of the serial number (U2200 for example,).Press and hold the 1 and 6 radio preset buttons, and turn ON the device. If you don’t see this message, pull the backup fuse for 1 minute, and then go back to step 1. Turn ON the device and confirm that the display reads COdE.Enter the code on the card, then press the power button to turn on the radio. To reenter the code, press and hold the 1 and 6 buttons on the radio at the same time. The code is located on a card that comes with your vehicle’s owner’s manual. I looked at the instructions to get it from the display, which are the following: After a dead battery, the radio in your Honda Odyssey will require a code to reenter. It requires the serial # of the device, which I have no idea about. I thought I would try to get the radio code anyways from Honda Radio / Navigation Code Retrieval and Reset Instructions. Maybe it was because I was holding the audio power button down for several seconds when turning it back on to see if that would work. I turned it off and back on, and the lock screen somehow disappeared and I could use the entertainment unit fine. I'm pretty good with saving important materials like this so I don't think the dealership ever gave it to me.Īfter the battery was installed, I did initially see some kind of lock screen asking for a code on the entertainment unit's display. Went thru all the paperwork I got when buying the Odyssey and looked around inside for a sticker that might have the code, but couldn't find anything. Before getting the replacement battery, I realized that I probably need to have the radio code handy to unlock the entertainment unit after installing the new battery. I just had to change the vehicle's battery for the first time. I am the original owner of a 2015 EX-L Odyssey.
